| The Charleston Area Regional Transit Authority is operated by the City of Charleston serving the City of Charleston, North Charleston, Isle of Palms, Sullivan’s Island, James Island, Mt. Pleasant, and West Ashley. CARTA serves Charleston with 17 bus routes. For downtown transportation, ride a DASH trolley. All equipment is fully accessible for the disabled.
